DISRUPTION AND JOY
SMALL SCALE ART PROJECTS, PERFORMANCE AND ACTIVISM
Disruption and Joy is part of Gobbledegook's continuing mission to incite joyful activism and glorious wonder in the world we inhabit. It might take place on a street corner, a school, a high street, an arts residency, or a portaloo queue.
We take the view that our activism is part of our art, and our 'Pants of Protest' action had an impact on National UK Politics with reference to the Upskirting bill. You can read more about that on our blog. As well as local actions, Lorna is proud to have worked on large-scale National Protest events including the Women's March UK and Women's Peace Council.
We have often created small-scale bespoke performances for a wide range of settings. Arts Education and participation specialists, Gobbledegook offer numerous workshops for a range of audiences, particularly with early years, primary school and in Higher Education. You can find out about the EXPLORE residency at Arts University Bournemouth here.
